Adamant that the MIC is the "mother party of the Indian community" since 1946, party president Datuk Seri G. Palanivel wants the Indian Affairs Unit under the Prime Minister's Department to be placed under MIC leadership, and not Hindraf.

Good news for the Opposition. Tian Chua, Harris Ibrahim and Tamrin Ghafar have been released by the Courts. A day after being arrested in separate raids by the police force, the courts have found no grounds to remand the three and the police have been questioned in their justification into the arrests.

Under the sedition act, only the Home Minister can order the arrests of the three hence we wait for a responce from the current home Minister Zahid Hamidi. Lets see how this plays out. Who will win in this cat and mouse game.
