In what appeared to be a ‘contract killing’, a businessman was gunned down at a traffic light junction in Jalan Sungai Ujong near Taman AST here this afternoon. James John, 45, had slowed down his car at the junction when one of two men on a motorcycle whipped out a pistol and shot him at close range, killing him on the spot. He sustained several gunshot wounds in the head and body in the incident about 1.50pm.

It is understood that the gunman had fired several times at the victim as the police found 12 9mm bullet shells near the victim’s car. The police believe the gunman and his accomplice had trailed John – who was enroute to Temiang from Taman Permai – before the attack. The body was sent to the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital here. Seremban police chief ACP Saiful Azly Kamaruddin confirmed the incident.... – BERNAMA
